New Year’s Goals?

January2

Happy 2018!

I know it’s freezing outside… and we’re all a little foggy coming back from vacation…

But got any curriculum goals?

I’d love to hear from you… and brainstorm if digital learning could help you achieve them!

Restructure my students’ nonfiction picture book projects to utilize Explain Everything instead of Book Creator.

Juliette, It’s so great to have devices in your room all day long! Now, it’s a matter of working them into your routines. I know that you are looking to use Socrative for formative assessment and check-ins. The devices will be perfect, anytime of day for that endeavor. Also, recording thinking via Explain Everything or a Google Form applies to many topics/subjects. QR codes to access sites also is great to add to the workflow. But that’s the key… what is the current flow of your classroom? I’d love to come visit and check it out… then brainstorm ideas with you!

Donna- you certainly have created a great system for blogging over the years! Ease of access and routine have paid off. Are you envisioning a platform or center where kids could choose activities to learn more or show their learning? I think QR codes and Google Classroom may help you with delivering and organizing things for your third graders. I’d love to chat more with you!

Jess, I love both apps. This change opens different opportunities of expression, but will continue to meet your objectives for non-fiction structure. Let me know if I can help more with the transition.
